The iPhone of the automated launch monitors
He is white, dressy and modern. Golf Magazin has tested the all new self service launch monitor caDDiix at Hamburg Moorfleet Golf course, east of Hamburg.

Eye catching and iPhone white he´s standing on the public golf course “Red Golf Moorfleet”, east of Hamburg: the caDDiix. Even though the name reads complicated, the ease of use of the “Golf Europe Product Award Winner 2009” is stunning. caDDiix is equiped with three high tech cameras and measures trajectory, impact and the launch parameters. Even an analysis of the own shots after playing is possible – online (caDDiix.com).
The machine calculates the average distance of a specific club, displays the longest shots – and thus the potential of a golfer. The tendencies are shown with red and green bars. For avid golfers, the datas “backspin” and “club head speed” are of special interest. What caDDiix not has is a video function. But he does not need one. “He is not a substitude for video analysis”, says Red Golf-Pro David Entwistle (51), “just a complement”. We think: a very good one. A self educated golfer should in any case test this training device. Price at Red Golf: € 7,5 incl. balls. Info: redgolf.de.
GolfMagazin summary:
caDDiix is eye opening and shows exactly the strength and weaknesses of every single swing. The one who does not believe his Pro, get´s his swing mistakes red-green on white. This is why caDDiix is an alternative for practicing slackers with “Pro phobia”. Teaching Pro´s benefit from caDDiix since the machine helps them in their line of argumentation. Numbers don´t lie.
An installation on more golf locations in Germany is desirable.
